Mel has been designing for over 25 years, first in the world of advertising as a creative director specializing in graphic design, and later as a kitchen designer partnering with Jon. Since 2017, she has helped create beautiful, highly functional kitchens that blend strong visual design with real-world practicality.
Originally from Colorado, Mel is a Midwesterner at heart and loves country living in eastern Iowa. She’s been married to Jon for 23 years, and together they’ve raised two grown kids who bring a lot of laughter and fun into their lives.
Known for her clear communication and ability to execute even Jon’s wildest ideas, Mel keeps projects moving smoothly from concept to completion. When she’s not designing, you’ll find her enjoying a chai tea latte, getting lost in a good book, or playing cards with friends and family.
